Today, and for the first time since I study here, we've had a fire alarm ring at UC3M.
Let me start from the beginning: It was a quiet, peaceful morning in January 2012. Hundreds of engineer students gather around the building of wisdom and torture (Our library) to study their subjects to then be tested in exams. Today I joined a friend of mine in the hard quest that is to understand Digital Information Processing so we decided it'd be a good idea to get a group room (you get a whiteboard and a very nice comfy room to study) when all of a sudden: Fire alarm.

First thing you do is, obviously, step outside to meet other engineers that have been disturbed by this annoying drilling sound, then look around if anyone is actually moving. No one was.
That's right, absolutely no one was moving from their study place, everyone was trying their best to keep studying (maybe look around a bit) but I promise hardly anyone stood up and left the place at all. What to do next? Twitter!

Yeah, there's my entire university making jokes around the fire alarm all over the internet.
So yeah, back to the room, try to ignore the noise and, once again, back to study.
PS: It turns out nothing really happened in the end.

On my flight back from Melilla this month, enqueued to get my ticket in a tiny airport with only one guy working that didn't even know how to do half the things. Poor guy ended up handwriting all tickets.
